What causes skin problems?
The underlying issue is often allergies, parasites or hormonal problems. We can pinpoint the problem using a skin scraping test (skin cell sample), blood tests, a bacterial culture, a biopsy, a cytology test or an elimination diet. The results will help us find a solution for your pet.
What can I do if it’s an allergy problem?
There is unfortunately no cure for skin issues that are due to food/environmental allergies. That said, we can help reduce or remove the allergen from your pet’s daily life by modifying their diet or environment. If that’s not an option, we can also prescribe medication.
