Pets need regular trips to the vet, just like we need regular visits to our family doctor. These checkups allow your veterinarian to make sure your pet is healthy.
What happens during a veterinary exam?
During the checkup, your veterinarian will take the time to ask about your pet’s routine and behaviour. Next they’ll conduct a full physical exam from nose to tail. They’ll also make sure your pet’s vaccines are up to date and discuss spaying or neutering. It’s the perfect time for you to ask questions and share any concerns. Our team will draw upon their extensive experience working with animals to help you.
How often should my pet get a checkup?
We recommend scheduling a veterinary exam once a year. An annual checkup allows us to monitor your pet’s health and prevent health problems. If your cat or dog has a disease or is an older animal, we usually recommend coming into the clinic every six months. These checkups help us monitor your pet’s condition and make sure treatment is working.
If your cat or dog needs more frequent visits, our team will set up a schedule for you based on their needs.
