Communication between people and animals isn’t always easy. Our animal health team can help you find safe solutions to behavioural problems such as puppy socialization and accidents and urine marking in cats.

What happens during a behavioural consultation?

On your first visit, you’ll explain the problem to your veterinarian. The veterinarian will take into account the information provided, your pet’s lifestyle and general health, and will try to get to the root of the problem. Next, we’ll come up with a plan to stop the behaviour.

What are the signs of a behavioural problem?

Anxiety, destructive behaviour and aggression are all signs of a behavioural issue. If you notice any of these signs, you need to intervene quickly or the situation could get worse. Early intervention can help prevent an incident, like your pet biting someone or destroying a piece of furniture.

Who should attend the consultation?

We recommend all family members who interact with your pet on a daily basis come to the meeting. Having everyone at the meeting means we can get a more complete picture of the situation and evaluate how each person interacts with your pet.
